My growth journey

When you come to me for coaching, you are the only one who shares; my story is irrelevant to the coaching sessions as your thoughts and your problems come into full focus if you choose to work with me . However, it is easier to open up to someone if sharing is somewhat mutual. So here is my sharing:

Turning failures into successes

I come from a dysfunctional family: My mom was a heavy drinker, my dad had epilepsy. We were all depressed, ashamed, and unloving towards ourselves and others. We always blamed someone else for our problems, and conflicts among us were everyday occurrences. A distant family member's husband undressed and touched me inappropriately when I was 11, and this experience, together with the maternal pattern of addiction, put me on a trajectory towards bulimia early on.

In my early twenties, I suffered from hardcore bulimia, my relationships were conflict-driven, and I felt depressed and miserable most of the time. I was low on motivation and self-esteem. I felt unlovable and unworthy. I studied social work to understand what went wrong in our family, heal my trauma, and use my studies and individual experiences to help others.

I worked as a social worker for seven years, helping others to regain control over their lives. Meanwhile, I still haven't gained control back over mine

By my late twenties, binge eating and purging cycles were still my emotional band-aids, but not as frequent, four times-a-day occurrences as they were a decade earlier, but four times-a-year ones. By my early thirties, with the help of therapy, I regained control over my eating habits and learned to regulate my emotions in healthier ways.

Fast forward another decade; I am in my early forties now. I am a proud and happy mom of a beautiful and lively toddler. I am joyous, inspired, confident, and emotionally resilient. I feel worthy of love and belonging. I lead a life of integrity and purpose and keep making my dreams come true. I have loving, meaningful relationships and a mindset that conforms to my well-being. I take full responsibility for my thoughts, feelings and actions; consequently, I am always in control of my life. Inspired by my self-development journey, I started studying human change and potential about seven years ago, including personal development, growth mindset, vulnerability and courage, mindset blocks, neuroplasticity, spirituality, self-awareness, and mindfulness.

I have done tremendous inner work and can confidently say that I turned the disadvantages in my life into advantages. Personal transformation is indeed possible. I can testify to that truth with my own life. I know how it feels when you trudge through the deep valleys of your life, but I also know that there`s a path leading towards the top of the mountain, toward the change that is right for you, that enriches and rejuvenates your life. â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹

Human transformation is an internal shift that affects how we see and relate to the world and understand our place in it. It brings us in alignment with our highest potential. Yet, most people live and die within their comfort zone, tied up by their limiting beliefs, longing for transformation but never actually taking steps toward change. I am sure that that being on my website means you are fed up longing and ready to take action. â€‹

Here, I shared a brief overview of my personal struggles and growth journey to reach out to you. I wanted to connect before you take your first step towards me and the coaching I offer. But my main objective is to inspire you to walk your growth path. If my role in your growth journey ends with you taking away only one sentence or idea from a blog post or from my Youtube video, I am happy. If you invite me into your life as your life coach and let me witness your growth journey, I am grateful and feel blessed.

Transformation is an internal shift
